Invoice with ChatGPT or Claude and MySwissInvoice
An AI assistant can already draft invoices or help generate documents. Connected to invoicing software, it can also work with customers, drafts and invoice tracking.
Why keep invoicing software?
Depending on its tools and input, an assistant may produce a well-presented document and even a QR code. A natural-language answer does not guarantee a valid Swiss QR Code, suitable payment layout or consistent numbering and records. These require checking.
An invoice belongs in a workflow
An isolated document does not show which invoices are sent, overdue or paid. MSI keeps customers, services, due dates and statuses in a dashboard. The assistant is an additional interface; the software remains the tracking system. Verify a payment before marking it paid.
What the MCP connector supports
Available tools can find customers, create or edit drafts, show previews and provide PDF links. They also read summaries and prepare invoice or reminder emails. Sending, cancellation and marking paid use preparation and confirmation steps.
Example requests
“Prepare a draft for customer Smith with 3 consulting hours at CHF 160, without sending it.” “Which invoices are overdue?” “Prepare a reminder and show the recipient and message.” Details are illustrative; check customer, items, VAT, due date and payment details.
Connection and requirements
You need an MSI account and an AI client supporting remote MCP servers with OAuth. In a compatible client’s connector settings, use https://myswissinvoice.ch/mcp and authorize your MSI account. Menus, subscriptions and availability vary across ChatGPT and Claude; contact support if the option is missing.
Control and privacy
The connected account’s rights determine access. Never paste credentials into a conversation. The assistant receives data needed by the tools used; also review your AI provider’s terms. Check proposals and explicitly confirm sensitive actions. The connector does not replace tax checks.
